On 19 August 2000, the power at MIT's Laboratory for Computer Science was shut down to switch to a temporary generator because Spaulding & Slye are building lots of buildings all around ours, getting rid of all the trees, the park, etc...
Anyway, we (Eric Prud'hommeaux, William Ang and I) took advantage of this opportunity to rearrange, in the dark with headlamps and flashlights, the machine room and we got something really cool after 10 hours of work.
Note that we unplugged everything (power, network, screen, keyboard, disks, etc) and managed to have everything working without any major problems when the power came back. I still can't believe it!
