I have been looking into replacing my PDA which is starting to die, but haven't found the ideal product yet. What I want: - small size. - good battery life. - high-resolution screen. - virtual graffiti area. - lots of RAM (at least 32MB). - possibly color screen. - Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth if possible. - date book with timezone support. I am a long-time PalmOS fan, so I will probably stick with that. Is a keyboard a good or a bad thing? I have the feeling that it is useless and may even be a pain. There is a [[news:9342cef7.0304231138.587ff8be@posting.google.com][thread in comp.sys.palmtops.pilot]] about whether a keyboard is good or bad. The PDAs I owned were[1]: - [[http://www.palm.com/support/palm3/][Palm III]] - [[http://www.sonystyle.com/vaio/clie/peg_s300_index.htm][Sony Clié PEG-S300]] - [[http://www.sonystyle.com/micros/clie/models/360.html][Sony Clié PEG-S360]] The current candidates (as of May 2003) are: - [[http://www.palm.com/products/handhelds/tungsten-t/][Palm Tungsten T]]; issue: only 16MB of RAM. - [[http://www.palm.com/products/handhelds/tungsten-c/][Palm Tungsten C]]; issue: keyboard and no graffiti area. I made the jump and got a Tungsten C. See PalmTungstenCee for my notes about it. Footnotes: [1] See also my old [[../../2001/05/pilot.html][PalmOS-based PDA resources]] page.
