I heard about Pamela Means in a Usenet newsgroup about Ani DiFranco.

I then saw her the next day in the subway station next to where I live, and her music sounded really good indeed. I therefore quickly bought her CD from the Web, and decided to go to her concert at Club Passim.

The venue is really small. Club Passim is a non-profit organization which holds folk concerts all the time. There are tables where you can have dinner, and seats around the room if you don't want to eat. There must have been something like 80 people in this room.

Pamela actually performed two sets.

She first played alone on the stage, supporting for herself, which was making her nervous (sic). She played around 1 hour.

She then took a fifteen minute break.

She came back with a friend of hers on the drums: Jason Gardner. They played about 45 minutes together. Pamela broke 2 times a string during this set, and then she broke 2 other strings during the encore.

That was a really cool concert, and I am looking forward to seeing her again.
